20-Year-Old Silicone Ruptured Implant

After having a breast augmentation 20 years ago, the patient was complaining about slight discomfort in her right breast. She also detected hardness and the appearance had become asymmetrical compared to the left side.

The video shows Dr. Linder removing the right implant, which is a smooth silicone from 20 years ago. As you can see, the implant was completely ruptured from the capsule. The discomfort and deformity were due to the formation of scar tissue in the right breast (capsular contracture).
